A long long time ago, Gary Michael Won Sik Minkema Evans was born in Honolulu. In 3rd grade he made a drawing of a gazelle that won a state award and it was the first thing that he knew he was good at. Later, he made his way to Oregon and took his first oil painting class at U of O, now armed with a paint brush and tools, he was able to create more. Now he creates all sorts of things, utilizing his knowledge base with an Architecture degree, years of woodworking, hanging out a maker spaces, welding and painting courses. He is never satisfied with just one thing, always looking for new skills. He was told by many friends that he is very mercurial, always changing. So the name finally came, Gary Mercury, in honor of his mercurial nature. In honor of the desire to learn new and interesting things.
